Today I went to the National Football Museum in Preston with Awa, Lalan, Tina and Enol. Just like the rest of the museums in the UK, there is no entrance fee. The museum itself is brilliant and full of football memorabilia which I am confident that any true football fan will truly appreciate it.

Beatles Story

The Cavern

In the morning, the whole group went shopping at the car boot sale in St. Helens. Afterwards, we went to visit the Beatles Story at the Albert Dock with an exception of Mama Tok who remains at home. They have a replica of The Cavern which surprisingly was quite small. Definitely not for those claustrophobic. Ilyas and Maisarah quite enjoyed it, listening to the music and the commentary from the audio phones.

Wigan were simply overwhelmed

Awa, Lalan, Enol and Tina went for a football trip today by visiting Old Trafford in the morning and watching Wigan Athletic playing against Arsenal in the JJB Stadium. In between they had their lunches at the Trafford Centre. I remain at home to follow the Sunderland vs Manchester United match. That 17 year old Macheda kid is simply brilliant, and I just found out that his dad is only 34 years old!

My latest football shirt

Lalan brought me the new Kelantan FA home shirt. It only costs me £10. Looks wonderful, I'm just hoping they will bounce back from their latest 0-1 defeat to Negeri Sembilan in the FA Cup semi final first leg.

No. 13

My family from Malaysia (Mama Tok, Cik Ja (her sister), Lalan, Tina and her husband Enol) arrived here this morning at the Stansted Airport. They are coming here for a three weeks holiday in the UK and Holland. I took Mama Tok back to Liverpool but the rests (Awa included) will be staying in London for two more days. On the way back we went to Reading and this time I managed to find No. 13, Tuns Hill Cottages, the house where I spent my first two or three years in this world.

Since we are still in London, I took Ilyas and Maisarah to their most favourite place, the Natural History Museum near South Kensington. As always, they were quite excited visiting the dinosaur exhibition and never got bored of getting scared by the giant mechanical Tyrannosaurus rex. Afterwards we went to visit Idlan in Colchester to taste her famous home cooking.

We were going to stay in London for a few days so I took the opportunity to visit my UPM colleague, Wan Azman in Southampton. He just passed his PhD viva and his wife has just delivered their second child, a baby boy. So it's a double celebration for them before going back to Malaysia for good by the end of this month.

Stoodle postcard has arrived

I received this postcard two days ago. I'm quite surprised really because it's B. B. Bangi postage date was stamped '30.03.2009', so it only took 4 days to arrive at my doorstep. Since then I've been busy fulfilling the obligation that comes with it. Will tell about it later.
