Maisarah 6th Birthday Party

We were looking for a suitable place to have Maisarah's birthday party when Tok offered her apartment. Jo took in charge of almost everything and Julie provided the birthday cake and the cupcakes. Maisarah really enjoyed her party and she single handedly cut her birthday cake into slices to be distributed among the kids. The goodie bags were custom made by Jo as she personally sew each individual bag and replaced the chocolate wrappers with the personalised greetings from Maisarah. Makes me wonder what else Jo will do in terms of her personal touch for Maisarah's next birthday party. At least we have one full year to figure it out.

Julie's Car Accident

I was attending my faculty meeting when I received an SMS from Jo. Her younger sister, Julie had a car accident and she is currently in Putrajaya Hospital. No one knows her status and her mother and brother are already on the way to the hospital. I rushed to the hospital and after half an hour, Julie emerged from the X-Ray room looking rather fine. Apparently she was driving to work and was on the elevated highway when she lost control of the car. The car went upside down but luckily it was not hit by other nearby cars. She managed to crawl out from the car and within five minutes the paramedic is already at the scene. She is indeed quite lucky to remain unharmed after the ordeal albeit with some scratches on her elbow and knee. The car is a complete wreck but the mechanic insisted that they can restore it back to original condition. I don't think Julie will drive that car again and would rather sell it in the market.

Family Reunion at Avare

Jo's mother or Tok as she is known by Ilyas and Maisarah, is having her family reunion party at her residence, Avare apartment. The main menu is Nasi Ambeng, a very popular dish by Javanese community. It's very delicious and after I found out that I have lost 2.4kg since I last visited this apartment, I had another go at this meal, and another one before we went home. As a results, I gained 700 gram but it was definitely worth it.
