This morning I managed to attend the inaugural lecture by Prof. Dr. Samsinar Md. Sidin, our Graduate School of Management dean. Although it is a formal event, she presented her lifetime research works in a very casual manner, full of laughter and anecdotes. Maybe because of her lecture title which talks about family purchase decision making, she invited her family for this auspicious event as well as asking her daughter to do the slide design. Some interesting notes from her lecture are the findings that just below half of the population in Malaysia are married and the divorce rate is around 12% compare to 55% in the USA. And she has a new term for a working mother who made most of the purchase decision; Chief Family Officers.
