Badminton session at Jalan Reko

Nazrul invited us to play badminton at this new badminton courts situated at Jalan Reko. It has been a while since we play badminton so I brought Ilyas, Maisarah, Eela and Firdaus with me. They are really enjoying playing the badminton especially Ilyas. I was thinking of making this a regular session, the only problem is to find a suitable day and time because we are always busy during the weekends. Perhaps this can be made into a new year resolution.

Paddington House of Pancakes, MidValley Mall

I came across this restaurant when we were looking for a place to eat and I thought why not give it a try. Almost every food served in this restaurant will have a pancake on it so it might taste weird or unique depending on the individual. I tried banana and cheese pancake, Eela ordered Orea marshmallow ice-cream pancake, Jo chose omelet chicken pancake and Ilyas experimented with the egg burger pancake. The food taste nice and I think most of the plate were wiped clean. The total bill costs around RM125 for six persons so I think the price is just above average.

GSM-FEP-AGBA Conference 2010

Every time I am attending a seminar organised by my faculty (this is my sixth time), I will always make a point to present at least one paper in it. This time the feedback from the audience are quite encouraging. Perhaps this is due to this seminar has an international flavour to it because of its affiliation with the AGBA (The Academy for Global Business Advancement) who managed to attract many international presenters. For the first time faculty staff are the minority in term of the number of papers presented in the faculty seminar.

MAHA International 2010

I've been hearing lots of interesting things happening at the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) International 2010 so today I brought the kids to see what is all about. Of course the only thing they are really looking forward is the horse riding. We came real early to avoid the traffic jam. When the doors of the exhibition halls were open at 10am, we were among the first visitors and thus able to walk freely to visit the stalls. 

There are four main halls but we decided to visit two halls first before we went to the horse riding place. It took us three short trips by bus to get there. Along the way we stopped at various exhibitions. I was quite surprised to see how huge the exhibition place is. No wonder some of my friends took several days to cover the whole area. After the horse riding we have our lunch and then continue visiting the other two exhibition halls. By 2 o'clock the kids are getting tired and restless so I decided to call it a day. I quite enjoyed it but because the place is so huge it might not be suitable to the elders and small kids. I bought lots of local food products and even tasted breads made from the rice. Overall, it's a nice experience and it's worth visiting it.
