How Smart is Your Right Foot?
*received this in an email today, another time-wasting fun to try :)
Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon...........This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!
1. While sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand.........
Your foot will change direction....
I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

Ilyas in the paper
My sister told my wife yesterday that she and her husband won the Chelsea photo contests organised by the Malay Mail. Apparently one of the photos that they sent was a picture of Ilyas wearing a Chelsea t-shirt on a PCB beach, Kelantan. I hope the Manchester United scout didn't see this photo, otherwise Ilyas' career as a professional footballer playing in Old Trafford will be in ruin.

MRSM Taiping takraw team (1993)

Found these two pictures on Facebook. I was in the college takraw team (playing as tekong) and we were competing in Larut, Matang and Selama district. Playing against those kampung boys was quite though and we didn't progress to the next stage. Nevertheless we had fun and on the way back we had our dinner in the local KFC restaurant.

Finally, we are the champion!
Last month, on the 15th June 2008, was a historic moment for my BAT (Bolasepak ANSARA Taiping) squad. After several years of trying, we have finally won the Futsal Liga Alumni which is organised by www.ligaalumni.com The closest we ever managed previously was on the 10th April 2005 when we were beaten in the final by HSKOBA (High School Klang Old Boys Association) by the score of 2-4. This time our 1st team got a convincing win by beating STAROBA (Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman Old Boys Association) by a score of 4-1. I'm in the middle of creating a website for Skuad BAT to record all their historic achievements.

Back in Lancaster
Just came back to the Lancaster University from Malaysia last night. Loads of pictures need to be uploaded here in this blog but they can wait. I need to finish my research draft first. The submission date is end of this month.

ANSARA Taiping vs ANSARA Kuantan
Last Saturday ANSARA Taiping had a friendly match with ANSARA Kuantan. Currently, Kuatagh are in the Division One and Tepen are in the Division Two but in my opinion both teams are equal in strength and skills.
When we arrived at the field, I realised that Tepen are short of players so we had to start the game with only 10 players since Kuatagh have only 11 players coming. I played as a left midfielder, a position that I can't remember playing before but Shazli playing as a leftback, and since he is young and fast, I know I had a freedom to remain upfield.
The first goal came from Kuatagh when their striker, Wan scored from a simple tap in. Few minutes after that, Madun who is Tepen manager and playing as a defender, kicked a long pass towards Kuatagh defender. He failed to clear and the ball came towards my path so I just kick the ball without actually looking at the goal. Only then I realised that the ball has came through the keeper's leg and straight into the goal! I was ecstatic because I can't remember when was the last time I scored a goal in the real football match. Must be 4 or 5 years ago. But after that Kuatagh responded with another goal through a flying header by Wan.
Second half started with me playing as a leftback because Shazli original position is a striker. So I just changed position with him. Kuatagh started the second half exactly like they did in the first half by scoring through a simple tap in by Wan, his hattrick. Shazli then scored Tepen second goal after receiving a pass from Mazuki. But Kuatagh scored their fourth goals in the dying minutes through Shamir.
In the end, we had an enjoyable match since most of Tepen and Kuatagh players knew each other, so we were playing in merry spirit with full of friendly banters. To play full time with 10 players against a Division One team only to lose 2-4 is quite a good achievement for us so I'm really proud and happy to play with my team, Skuad BAT (Bolasepak ANSARA Taiping).

Ultraman Daiya
I took Ilyas to a 'pasar malam' tonight and we bought Ultraman masks. They don't have Ultraman in the UK but today Ilyas saw the show on TV and he instantly hooked to this rubberclad-kungfu-alien. So we fought together and of course the good guy always win.
